Virtual Therapy for Highly Sensitive People

If you've often heard that you're "too sensitive," "too quiet," or "too emotional," I see you. It’s time to change that narrative.

You're not alone in feeling deeply. From the overwhelming beauty of a sunrise to the heavy weight of anxiety, I understand the intensity of your emotions because I've walked this path myself.

Here's the transformative truth: Your sensitivity? It's not just a trait — it's a superpower.

Imagine a life where you're anchored in this strength, a life where you confidently understand your worth, effortlessly set boundaries, and make empowered decisions that reflect your true desires. That life isn't just a distant dream; it's attainable, and I'm here to guide you towards it.

Together, we'll develop strategies to help you navigate the world with resilience and self-assurance, celebrating your sensitivity as the gift it truly is.

  • What is an HSP?

Highly sensitive persons, or HSPs, are individuals more attuned to the subtleties of the environment, whose brains process and reflect on information more deeply, are often socially inhibited by nature, and prefer their own rich inner world to the external world. In research, high sensitivity is referred to as Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS). HSPs are more likely to experience overstimulation or overarousal of the nervous system because they take in more stimuli. Sensitivity is an innate, not learned, trait.

  • Who is Highly Sensitive?

Dr. Elaine Aron and colleagues have found the highly sensitive trait to be present in about 20% of the population. The acronym DOES summaries the key aspects of high sensitivity:

    D – Depth of Processing

    O – Overstimulation

    E – Emotional Reactivity

    S – Sensing the Subtle

  • Am I Highly Sensitive?

If you find yourself becoming easily overwhelmed by loud noises, bright lights, or other sensory input, and if you tend to pick up on other people's emotions and energy levels very easily, you may be a highly sensitive person. HSPs often feel things more deeply than others and may need more downtime and self-care to recharge after social or emotional experiences. They may also be more cautious in engaging in new experiences or social situations. Read more about the HSP Trait

This is even more true for HSPs. People-pleasing, perfectionism, and achievement can only take you so far before you hit your limit. I get it. You deserve to live authentically and show up as your whole self.
